Titanic

Titanic

Titanic was a British ship built by White Tiger Liners, which, on April 15, 1912, while traveling from Southampton to New York, was struck by a glacier and sank in the North Atlantic Ocean. It is estimated that 2,224 passengers and more than 1500 crew died on this ship, which is why this ship became one of the very fiercest of that time and one of the most terrible sinkings of a cruise ship. With much subsequent public attention, this disaster became the foundational fact for the work of artists and film genres.

The RMS (Royal Mail Ship) Titanic was the largest ship to enter service and was the second of the three Olympic classes built by the White Tiger liners. It was built by Harland & Wolff Shipyard in Belfast. The shipyard's naval architect, Thomas Andrews, also died in the disaster of that time.

The Titanic was under the control of Captain Edward Smith, who sank with the ship and died. The Titanic ship had several special safety features, such as a waterproof box and a waterproof remote control. The ship also boasted 16 lifeboats that could reduce three lifeboats out of the entire 48 boats, but the Titanic ship had 20 lifeboats, of which 4 were collapsible, and it became difficult to bring down those boats while the ship sank.

BACKGROUND

The name of the Titanic ship is derived from the Greek-language Titans. The RMS Titanic was built in Belfast, Ireland, in the United Kingdom of Britain and Ireland. The second of three Olympic-class ocean ships has sailed into port. The RMS Olympic was the first, while the HMHS Britannic (His Majesty's Hospital Ship) was the third. The Titanic had to be specifically designed to be large and over 1,000 feet long. This ship was the largest ever in the boats of the British shipping company White Star Liners, in which 29 steamers and ships were combined. All three ships were built in 1907 by the owner of White Star Liners, J. Bruce Ismay, and were created after discussions between American financier JP Morgan, who created the International Mercantile Marine Company, the parent corporation of White Star.

The White Star liner faced a major challenge from its main rival, Cunard, who had launched the Lusitania and Mauretania and built the fastest ship for passengers, which went to the German lines Hamburg America and Norddeutsher Lloyd. It paid more attention to the size of the ship rather than its speed and suggested the introduction of a new class of liner, which will be bigger than the earlier ships and will also have arrangements for relaxation and luxury.  In response to Cunard's large giants, the company specifically sought to modify its yachts, but in 1889, the SS Teutonic and, in the 1890s, the pair of Majestic ships had to be replaced by the Titanic. After the Titanic sank, the Majestic ship was brought back to its original location on the White Star Line's New York service.

PASSENGER FACILITIES

The purpose of the convenience of the passengers of the Titanic ship was to meet the needs of the rich and famous. According to the simple arrangement plans of the Titanic ship, the ship could take only 2,453 passengers, of which 833 in the first class, 614 in the second class, and 1006 in the third class. In addition, the number of crew members exceeded their capacity by 900, as most of their basic configuration documents stated that their full capacity for passengers and crew would be around 3,547. The ship's interior design was derived from other passenger liners, often following the heavy style of a mansion or British country house.

The Titanic was built in the light style of modern large-class hotels, and in this, the Ritz Hotel was the only reference point, which was built in the Empire style of first-class cabins. Decorative styles such as Renaissance and Louis XV were used to decorate the cabins and rooms of the first and second classes of the ship. The goal of making this ship was to make the passengers feel that they were not on a ship but a floating hotel and many passengers also felt this by looking at the interior of the ship.

TITANIC BUILD

It was a very challenging task for Harland and Wolff to build the Titanic and other ships of large size because no one had tried to build such a big ship before. The ship was built on Queen's Island in what is now known as the Titanic Quarter in Belfast harbor. Harland and Wolff had to destroy the three landing platforms and two new ones had to be made to adjust both the ships, which is considered to be the largest construction ever. Building the ship was simplified by a large cask base built by Sir William Errol and Company, which is a Scottish firm that built the Forth Bridge and Tower Bridge in London. The cask base was 228 feet in height, 270 feet in width, 840 feet in length, and weighed more than 6,000 tons. For this, several mobile cranes were adjusted, and a separate floating crane was imported from Germany to lift the weight of 200 tons.

The Titanic and the Olympic ship were built in parallel. The Olympic keel was first laid on December 16, 1908, and the Titanic on March 31, 1909. It took about 26 months to build both the ships and the same process was followed in making them. These were essentially designed as the beams of a large floating box that contained the keel spine and the ribs that served as the builder's hull frame. At the base of the ship, the 300 frames are supported by a double bottom 5 feet 3 inches deep, each measuring between 24 inches and 36 inches and being about 66 feet long. It is completed by going to the roof of the pool and is covered with a steel plate, which maintains the structure of the ship's exterior.

Bahubali Statue

God Bahubali Statue
God-Bahubali-Statue

Jain God Bahubali Statue

Lord Bahubali is the God of Jainism and he meditated in Kayotsarga's posture for a year so that creepers and plants grew on his body and insects made their home on his body. After doing hard penance for a year, he got only knowledge, and since then he was called Kevali. At last, he attained salvation, and he became free from the cycle of life and death. From then on he became the god of Jainism.

The idol of Lord Bahubali is one of the tallest stable idols in the world. This idol is made from blocks of granite. This idol is 57 feet high and is installed on Vindhyagiri mountain in Shravanabelagola, Karnataka in India. This idol is so high that it can be seen even from 30 km away. The name of Lord Bahubali is also Gomateshwara.

Lord Bahubali has the characteristics of peace, non-violence, renunciation of worldly attachment, and living a simple life after Jainism. One of the two hills of Shravanabelagola is Vindhyagiri mountain and the other is Chandragiri mountain which is a place of obsolete Jain sites and Bahubali is much older than the idol of God.

The idol of Gomateshwara is related to the Jain god Bahubali. This statue was made in about 983 CE and this idol is one of the permanent statues of the world. The idol of the Lord was made by the minister and general of the Ganga clan, Chavundaraya. There are Jain Temples in many areas called Basadis and there are idols of many Tirthankaras. In the second mountain of Shravanabelagola, Chandragiri, there is an idol of Lord Bharat who is the brother of Lord Bahubali and both the brothers are the sons of the first Jain Tirthankara Adinath.

An amazing view of the surrounding areas can be seen from the top of the mountain. People come from far and wide to perform Mahamastakabhisheka of Lord Bahubali and their Mahamastakabhisheka is done once in 12 years; the body is anointed with milk, saffron, ghee, sugarcane juice, turmeric, sandalwood, etc. Lord Bahubali's next consecration will take place in 2030. The Times of India report in 2007 stated that the idol of Lord Bahubali is one of the seven wonders of India and 49% of the total votes went in his favor.

ETHOLOGY

The appearance of the idol of Lord Bahubali shows the long attention span. In the Kayotsarga posture, the moving thought raised the climbing vines around the feet. In the idol of Lord Bahubali, his hair is curly and waxed, and his ears are big. His eyes are wide open as if he is looking at the whole world with a flutter. The makeup on his face has been made with a lot of thought and the slight smile on his lips is a symbol of peace of mind and the power to live life. His shoulders are wide and his arms are pulled down.

There is a Bambi under the idol of God, which is the symbol of his penance. A creeper emerges from the ground, which grows like a rope around the legs and arms of the idol of God, and is completed in the form of a creeper in the arms. The whole figure is standing on an open lotus symbolizing the fulfillment of setting up this unique idol. Two gods are standing on either side of the idol of God, in which the name of the first god is Yaksha, and the name of the second god is Yakshini. These magnificent and wonderfully carved sculptures in the rich form are helpful to the particular idol. The rear part of the Bambi has a pool for collecting water and religious materials used for the consecration of the carved idol.

STORY

According to the story, after setting up the idol of Lord Bahubali, Chavundaraya arranged for Mahamastakabhisheka to be performed on the idol of the Lord, which had five types of material such as milk, coconut, sugar, nectar, and the water collected in many vessels. But the liquid could not flow under the navel of the idol. Chavundaraya could not understand why the fluid was not flowing under the navel of the idol; then a poor old lady brought some milk to anoint the Lord and everyone was making fun of him but she still anointed the idol of God. Seeing that the milk started becoming like a river, Chavundaraya's arrogance was also suffocated and made those people anoint the Lord by apologizing to that elderly woman and also to all the people, rich and poor. Since then everyone anoints the idol of Lord Bahubali.

MAHAMASTAKABHISHEKA

Politicians like Krishna-Rajendra Vodoyar in 1910 and Narendra Modi and Ramnath Kovind attended the Mahamastakabhisheka of Lord Bahubali in 2018.

Singapore

Singapore is a republic and a self-governing city-state in Southeast Asia's maritime region. It lies roughly one degree north of the equator on the southern coast of the Malay subcontinent; on the Malacca Strait; in the west, falls to the south of Riau island, and the east in the range of the South China Sea. The large island of the territory of the country of Singapore is made up of 63 small islands and one outer island. After the independence of the country, there was a 25% increase as a result of the Comprehensive Land Reforms Scheme in the organized sector. It is the world's second-largest country. About 5.7 million people live in the country, of which 61% are citizens of Singapore. Singapore has four official languages: English, Chinese, Malay, and Tamil; the state language is English. Multiracialism is latent in the constitution and maintains equality of national policies in education, housing, and politics.

In 1867, settlements in South East Asia were rebuilt and Singapore came under the control of Britain for part of the Strait colonies. At the time of World War 2, Japan was captured by Singapore in 1942, but after accepting defeat in 1945, came under British control after forming a separate colony. Singapore formed its government in 1959 and in 1963 became part of the new organization of Malaysia. Due to differences in ideology with Malaya, North Borneo, and Sarawak, Singapore was deprived of the status of a treaty for two years and it became an independent country.

HISTORY

It is believed that the contemporary state of Singapore was formed in the early nineteenth century, but evidence shows that a significant commercial agreement exists on the island of Singapore. During that time, Singapore was controlled by the authority of God, who killed the previous king before being ousted by Majapahit and the Siamese. It depended first on the Malacca Sultanate and then later on the Johor Sultanate. In 1819, the English politician Stamford Raffles negotiated the agreement after Johor ordered the British to locate a commercial port on the island, and in 1819, the Crown Settlement of Singapore was built.

History
History

At the time of the Second World War, from 1942 to 1945, Singapore was acquired by the Japanese state and also occupied. When the war was over, the British came under the control of Singapore and seeing the increasing level of its government, Singapore made a change in integration with the Malay organization. Malaysia was founded in 1963 by Singapore's ruling People's Action Party and due to social distractions and quarrels between the Alliance Party of Malaysia, Singapore was expelled from Malaysia. On 9 August 1965, Singapore became a free country.
