Singapore
Singapore is a republic and a self-governing city-state in Southeast Asia's maritime region. It lies roughly one degree north of the equator on the southern coast of the Malay subcontinent; on the Malacca Strait; in the west, falls to the south of Riau island, and the east in the range of the South China Sea. The large island of the territory of the country of Singapore is made up of 63 small islands and one outer island. After the independence of the country, there was a 25% increase as a result of the Comprehensive Land Reforms Scheme in the organized sector. It is the world's second-largest country. About 5.7 million people live in the country, of which 61% are citizens of Singapore. Singapore has four official languages: English, Chinese, Malay, and Tamil; the state language is English. Multiracialism is latent in the constitution and maintains equality of national policies in education, housing, and politics.
In 1867, settlements in South East Asia were rebuilt and Singapore came under the control of Britain for part of the Strait colonies. At the time of World War 2, Japan was captured by Singapore in 1942, but after accepting defeat in 1945, came under British control after forming a separate colony. Singapore formed its government in 1959 and in 1963 became part of the new organization of Malaysia. Due to differences in ideology with Malaya, North Borneo, and Sarawak, Singapore was deprived of the status of a treaty for two years and it became an independent country.
HISTORY
It is believed that the contemporary state of Singapore was formed in the early nineteenth century, but evidence shows that a significant commercial agreement exists on the island of Singapore. During that time, Singapore was controlled by the authority of God, who killed the previous king before being ousted by Majapahit and the Siamese. It depended first on the Malacca Sultanate and then later on the Johor Sultanate. In 1819, the English politician Stamford Raffles negotiated the agreement after Johor ordered the British to locate a commercial port on the island, and in 1819, the Crown Settlement of Singapore was built.
